Memory cards are sold on peak numbers and used at sustained ones. A card that bursts at 300 MB/s for ten seconds and then collapses to 80 MB/s will choke high-bitrate 4K and 8K video and long RAW bursts just the same. The ratings that matter are the video speed classes: V30, V60 and V90 guarantee minimum sustained writes of 30, 60 and 90 MB/s. For CFexpress Type B, the figure that matters is the manufacturer's sustained-write rating and thermal behaviour under continuous recording.
