Our recommendation

Choose the Roo Double for the longer body, 500 lb capacity, and lifetime warranty; it is the better hammock spec for spec. Choose the DoubleNest for wider availability, a lower typical price, and the largest accessory ecosystem. Both lounge superbly.

Length and capacity

The Roo's 10 ft length flattens the lay slightly and its 500 lb rating tops the DoubleNest's 400 lb. For two-person lounging and bigger campers, Kammok's numbers win outright.

Fabric

ENO's 70D taffeta is proven and soft; Kammok's Gravitas 40D diamond ripstop is lighter-feeling yet abrasion-focused, with ripstop insurance against small tears spreading. Different philosophies, both durable in practice.

Ownership

Kammok's lifetime warranty and B-Corp ethos appeal to buy-it-for-life shoppers. ENO counters with ubiquity: replacement straps, nets, and tarps are in every outdoor shop in America.

Sleeping, not just lounging

Both are gathered-end designs, so a flat sleep means lying on the diagonal, head to one side and feet to the other. The Roo's extra length gives taller sleepers more diagonal to work with before their feet reach the gathered end, which is where calf ridge pressure builds. The DoubleNest counters with extra width, which helps side sleepers curl without feeling the edges close in. Neither replaces a true 11 ft camping hammock for nightly use, but for occasional trail nights the Roo is the calmer bed.

Choose ENO DoubleNest if…

  • You want the easiest purchase and accessory hunt
  • You value ENO's ecosystem of matched add-ons
  • Price on sale matters more than spec margins

Choose Kammok Roo Double if…

  • You are a bigger camper or lounge as a pair often
  • A lifetime warranty decides purchases for you
  • You want the flattest lay a double offers

Questions, answered

Which packs smaller?

Effectively tied; both compress to roughly grapefruit-to-cantaloupe size in their integrated sacks.

Do either include straps?

Neither; budget for tree straps with both. Kammok's Python straps and ENO's Atlas are the matched options.

Which is better for overnighting?

The Roo Double, by length. Both are lounging-first designs; serious overnighters should look at 11 ft models.

Can I use a standard underquilt with either?

Yes. Both hang from continuous loops at the gathered ends, so any underquilt sized for gathered-end hammocks clips on the same way. Size the quilt to the hammock's length so the ends seal without gaps.
