Baby Bathtubs
Baby bathtubs ranked on newborn support, fit, and storage.
Baby bathing is a support problem before it is a tub problem. A newborn cannot sit, slips instantly, and must never be left alone in water for any reason, even in a support seat, because drowning in a bath seat can happen silently in seconds. The right tub, sling, or support simply makes the safe position easier to hold: head and back supported, water shallow at about 2 to 3 inches, and a caregiver's hand on the baby throughout.
The ten picks below cover framed grow-with-me tubs from Frida Baby, Fisher-Price, and Summer Infant, sink-soft inserts like the Blooming Bath Lotus, a folding travel tub from Stokke, and the Angelcare support that sits inside a family tub. Age ranges, weight limits, and configurations are from manufacturer specifications.
