Wyze Video Doorbell Pro Review (2027)
In-depth research review of the Wyze Video Doorbell Pro: 1440p 1:1 head-to-toe video, up to 6 months of battery, adhesive install, and Cam Plus detection.
Wyze Video Doorbell Pro
A wire-free or wired doorbell with 1440p head-to-toe video, up to 6 months of battery, and a chime in the box.
Our verdict
The Doorbell Pro is the renter's doorbell done right: a 1440 x 1440 head-to-toe view, a battery rated up to 6 months, an install that can be a 30-second adhesive stick with no screws and no wires, and a chime in the box. Smart detection for people and packages needs the Cam Plus plan, and the battery is built in, so charging means taking the unit down. At its budget tier, the compromise list is short.
What we like
- 1440 x 1440 video with a 150 x 150 degree head-to-toe view
- Battery lasts up to 6 months, or hardwire it for continuous power
- Installs with screws or the included 3M adhesive in about 30 seconds
- Wyze Chime Pro included, with IP65 weather resistance
What to watch out for
- Package and person detection require a Cam Plus subscription
- Non-removable battery; the whole unit comes down to charge
- Detail sits below the 2K class leaders
What owners report: Wyze Video Doorbell Pro
Synthesized from recurring themes in long-term owner feedback.
Most praised
- Adhesive mounting in about 30 seconds makes it the renter friendly pick here
- Battery life up to six months stretches the time between charges
- The included Wyze Chime Pro means no separate chime purchase to hear rings indoors
Common complaints
- The battery is not removable, so the whole unit comes down to charge
- Package and person detection need the Cam Plus plan
- Detail trails the 2K leaders despite the wide head to toe frame
Who it is for
Renters and budget buyers who want a head-to-toe wire-free doorbell with the easiest possible install.
View and video
The 150 x 150 degree, 1:1 aspect sensor records 1440 x 1440, a taller frame that captures visitors head-to-toe and packages on the ground in the same view. Detail sits below the 2K leaders, but the framing is the feature package watchers actually use.
Install and battery
Wyze's pitch is speed: mount with screws, or peel the 3M adhesive plate and stick it in about 30 seconds, a genuine renter-grade option. The internal battery runs 3 to 6 months per charge depending on traffic, recharging over USB; hardwiring is supported for continuous power and a few extra seconds of pre-roll.
Detection and the plan
Motion alerts work out of the box, while person, pet, vehicle, and package detection are Cam Plus features, as is full-length event recording. The included Chime Pro offers 20 tunes at 8 volume levels, a small luxury no rival bundles at this price.

Questions, answered
Does the Wyze Doorbell Pro detect packages for free?
No. Package and person detection are Cam Plus subscription features. Without the plan you get motion alerts and live view.
How long does the battery last?
Wyze rates it at 3 to 6 months with normal use. Busy doors shorten it; hardwiring removes the question entirely.
