Duffels
Travel duffels ranked on capacity, carry comfort, and durability.
A good duffel does what a suitcase cannot: it swallows odd-shaped gear, squeezes into overhead bins and car trunks, and carries comfortably on a shoulder or back when the pavement ends. The numbers that matter are usable volume in liters, fabric denier and coating, whether the straps stow for checking, and whether the main zipper locks and resists water.
The ten duffels below span 50 to 70 liters, from packable adventure duffels with backpack straps to wheeled models for heavy loads. Every capacity and dimension cited is the manufacturer figure for the size named, so you can compare a 65-liter expedition duffel against a 50-liter carry-on honestly.
